HARDIN COUNTY, Ky -

According to Kentucky State Police, approximately 16 minutes after a multi-fatality crash on the northbound side of Interstate-65 in Hardin County Saturday, another crash occurred on the southbound side sending one man to University of Louisville Hospital with critical injuries.

Gregory Lohman, 36, from Goodlettsville, Tennessee was traveling southbound on I-65 and was slowing for the wreck on the northbound side when a 2013 freightliner failed to see slowed traffic and struck Lohman's vehicle in the rear.

The freightliner was operated by Mark Bowser, 58, from Lewisburg, Ohio.

Lohman's vehicle then struck a 2005 Saturn SUV driven by Victor Martinka, 53, of Glenview, Illinois, in the rear.

Martinka's vehicle then struck a 2012 Chevrolet SUV in the rear. That vehicle was driven by Stephanie Yates, 55, of Louisville, Kentucky.

All vehicles involved in the crash were southbound on I-65.

Lohman suffered critical injuries in the crash and was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital with head and neck injuries.

As of Sunday morning, Lohman was listed in critical but stable condition.

Both occupants in the Saturn, driver Victor Martinka and passenger, Lilija Martinka, 51 were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.

Bowser nor Yates were injured in the crash.

The investigation of the multi-car crash is ongoing.
