Sugar Babies consignment sale started 16 years ago in a two car garage and today fills a 25,000 square foot space in the old Food Lion in Smyrna.
"We never expected it to grow this large. It kind of surprised us as it grew over the years. We kept getting more and more stuff and more and more consigners," Co-owner of Sugar Babies Steve Perry said.
Sugar Babies hosts three sales a year. A spring-summer sale, a winter-fall sale and a charity sale that benefits Smyrna Christian School.
Shoppers will find everything from toys to books to furniture and clothing on sale.
"We carry equipment such as play toys, strollers, swings, car seats, as well as toys for infants and small children as well as books," Perry explained.
While Sugar Babies specializes in children's clothing they carry much more.
Buyers can expect clothing in infant sizes to teens and prices ranging from a $1 to $5 average.
Perry said, "We have a lot of brands all the way from Abercrombie and Fitch to Gap to American Eagle and Hollister."
With children growing so fast Steve Perry said it's the perfect place for parents to sell old clothes and upgrade to larger sizes.
The sale also attracts dozens of vendors.
The clothes left behind go to local organizations in the community.
