NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A 59-year-old woman was killed in a single car accident in north Nashville Friday morning.
According to authorities, Brenda Woodward's vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason before coming to a rest in a small culvert at Brick Church Pike and Masonwood Drive just before 9 a.m.
Woodward was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The accident remains under investigation.
There was no indication of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
