Nashville taxi driver attacked by passengers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for three people that attacked a taxi driver late Thursday night.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. on Millwood Drive in south Nashville.

Police told Nashville's News 2 an altercation broke out when a group of passengers didn't want to pay the fare. 

One of the passengers then hit the cab driver over the head with a pistol, before they stole his car keys and took off on foot.

The cab driver was taken to Southern Hills Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No suspect information was immediately released.
