A south Nashville intersection has reopened after emergency crews battled a fire near at a gas station.
The fire was reported just before 5 a.m. at the Phillips 66 gas station on Glenrose Avenue at Foster Avenue.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 a Metro police officer spotted the fire. Before the fire department arrived on the scene, the officer busted a window and tried to extinguish the flames.
The fire quickly spread to the attic. Responders reported flames were seen shooting through the roof.
The intersection was shutdown while crews investigated the fire and it has since reopened.
It was not immediately clear how the fire stared.
No further details were immediately released.
