Driver injured in single car collision - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A driver was traveling eastbound on Thompson Lane when they left the roadway, crossed over the Franklin Road exit ramp to Thompson Lane, and collided with a tree.

There was no evidence of alcohol on the scene of the crash.

The driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where doctors stated that she received life-threatening injuries.

Metro police Captain Walburn confirmed the driver is a 28-year-old female.

The investigation is ongoing.
