Pedestrian struck by car in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition after being struck by a Five Star Food Service truck on Nolensville Pike near Harding Place early Friday morning.

The accident was reported just before 6 a.m.

The 57-year-old victim's identity was not released.

News 2's First Alert Unit reports that all lanes are back open, and police have cleared the scene.
