
The Kentucky Wildcats bounced back from a 30 point loss to beat Vanderbilt 74-70 Wednesday night in Lexington.
With star forward Nerlens Noel out for the season a knee injury the Wildcats got a career best performance from seven-foot freshman Willie Cauley-Stein with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shot. Archie Goodwin added 16 for the Wildcats.
Vanderbilt trailed by as many as 14 points but trimmed the lead to as little as three at 68-65 on a Kyle Fuller three-point basket. The Dores got balance scoring with 17 points from Kedron Johnson, 16 from Rod Odom and Josh Henderson added 14 more.
With the loss the Dores fall to (10-15) for the season, they go to Mississippi State Saturday.
