Isabelle Morency joins the Carrier Ethernet Academy as Chief Academic Officer.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 20, 2013
The Carrier Ethernet Academy announces that Isabelle Morency, one of the Metro Ethernet Forum's (MEF) most well-respected technical experts, has joined as Chief Academic Officer and member of the Academy’s teaching faculty. Isabelle is a long-time key contributor within the MEF and an active member of both the MEF Technical and Certification Committees. She is the MEF’s most prolific editor having published seven MEF Technical Specifications during her tenure, as well as being one of the driving forces behind the MEF’s Carrier Ethernet 2.0 technical initiative. Her significant contributions were recently recognized with a Leadership Award at the MEF's 10th Anniversary.
“Isabelle is one of the most recognized and respected experts in the Carrier Ethernet industry and will contribute a great deal of technical depth to the Academy’s technical program and course delivery capabilities,” said Craig Easley, President and Dean of Academic Affairs at the Carrier Ethernet Academy. “Having developed and edited seven MEF Abstract Test Suites (MEF 14, 19, 21, 24, 25, 27 and 34) in addition to the CE 2.0 Technical Foundation Document and Certification Blueprint, Isabelle is one of the top technical experts within the MEF, and will be a valuable addition to the Carrier Ethernet Academy’s faculty.”
As Chief Academic Officer, Isabelle will be responsible for the technical integrity of the Carrier Ethernet Academy’s courses. The Academy is the leading MEF Accredited Training Provider (ATP) and has helped a significant number of telecommunications professionals from Service Providers and Equipment Vendor companies to prepare for and earn their MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (MEF-CECP) credential.
Combining practical application of the MEF concepts with in-depth coverage of the technical specifications, the Academy’s Carrier Ethernet MEF-CECP preparatory course (CECP Boot Camp) not only prepares students for the MEF-CECP exam, but also provides them with valuable real-world knowledge that they can use immediately after the course.
“The MEF’s CECP is a rigorous certification program that tests the Carrier Ethernet knowledge of the candidates who take the exam,” said Daniel Bar-Lev, Director of the MEF’s Certification Programs. “Due to her being a very central MEF technical contributor for many years and having been intimately involved in the MEF services and equipment Certification Programs from the beginning will enable Isabelle to provide very valuable insight to the equipment vendor and service provider professionals attending her classes.”
