NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Authorities are working to identify the man who posed as a fire inspector last month at the pretzel store located inside the Mall at Green Hills.

The incident occurred on January 30 around 5 p.m. at Auntie Anne's Pretzel Store.

According to fire officials, the man told the clerk he was with the Nashville Fire Department and was there to conduct an inspection.

The suspect added there was a fee required for the inspection.

After receiving the alleged fee, the imposter quickly fled the scene.

Officials said proper fire inspectors will have identification and be dressed in a Nashville Fire Department uniform. Fees will not be collected at the business.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or the Nashville Fire Marshall's Office at 615-862-5230.
