16-year-old dies in 4-wheeler crash

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. -

A 16-year-old boy was killed in a crash Monday afternoon eight miles south of Big Sandy in Benton County.

Authorities reported Steven Rushing of was driving a 4-wheeler northbound on Crooked Creek Cemetery Road when he lost control on loose gravel while negotiating a curve around 2 p.m.

He ran off the roadway before striking a tree.

Tests determined that alcohol and drugs were not a factor.
