LEBANON, Tenn. -

Authorities are continuing to investigate a single car collision that killed a 29-year-old Lebanon man Sunday morning.

According to a report in the Wilson Post, the accident involving Tyler McChurch occurred around 5:30 a.m. near 1201 Academy Road.

Officials said McChurch was traveling westbound on the roadway when he crossed over into the eastbound lane, overcorrected and went off the road.

McChurch's 2002 Chevy Tahoe hit a concrete culvert and overturned multiple times. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Investigators believe alcohol may have played a role in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.

The newspaper reported McChurch formerly played football for Lebanon's Friendship Christian School and at Cumberland University.
