DURHAM, NC -
A local comedian was killed in a two car accident in North Carolina Sunday morning.
According to ABC affiliate WTVD-TV, the fatal accident involving Brian Kiley occurred on Interstate 40 around 3:40 a.m.
WTVD-TV reported a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Raul Herrera swerved into Kiley's Nissan Maxima.
Both vehicles reportedly went off the interstate before overturning.
Kiley died at the scene.
Herrera was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He was charged with DWI.
Nashville comedy club Zanies is set to host a benefit show for Kiley's wife, Amber and children. Information regarding the event was not immediately released.
