DICKSON, Tenn. -
Authorities in Dickson County are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday night.
Officials said Lono Mayo, 69, of Perry County, was headed westbound on Highway 70 just after 6 p.m. when the crash occurred.
According to authorities, Mayo crossed the center line and hit another vehicle driven by 23-year-old Amy Jenkins head-on.
Mayo was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Police found alcohol in Mayo's vehicle and said that it might have been a contributing factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jenkins, was taken to Horizon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
