MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
A man is in custody after police said he robbed the Lascassas Market on Thursday and threatened the store clerk at knifepoint.
The suspect, Jonathan Ownby, 31, of Murfreesboro, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and a package of cigarettes.
The store clerk who was robbed obtained the suspect's license plate number as he drove away.
Rutherford County sheriff's detectives were able to locate Ownby with minutes Thursday afternoon.
A team of patrol deputies and detectives apprehended the man at his home.
Ownby was charged with aggravated robbery and booked into the Rutherford County jail.
A March 11 court date has been set.
