Gunman arrested for shooting brother in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Tenn. -

A 58-year-old gunman who opened fire at a Columbia residence Wednesday night, surrendered to authorities following a brief manhunt.

According to the Columbia Daily Herald, Eddie Pillow was shot and injured at his home just after 8 p.m. in the 1900 block of Hampshire Pike.

His brother, Stanley Pillow, is the alleged gunman. He fled on foot immediately after the incident.

An officer said Stanley Pillow was wanted for questioning. Authorities spent several hours searching for him.

Investigators said a hunting rifle was found at the rear of the home.

Eddie Pillow was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

No further details regarding the shooting were immediately released.
