MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
A solicitation for sex ad posted on Backpage.com led Murfreesboro police and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents to an alleged child prostitution ring.
Two men have been charged in the case.
Kareem Wiggins, 21, and Robert Wright, 26, are being held at the Rutherford County jail on charges of trafficking for commercial sex act, money laundering and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, among others.
Major Clyde Adkison of the Murfreesboro Police Department said, "These young ladies, as well as an adult lady were being prostituted, allegedly prostituted by two individuals and they were taking their pictures and then putting the solicitation on Backpage.com."
Officers found two 16-year-old girls who said the suspects received money from clients who had sex with the teens.
Both teens said they had been recruited by Wiggins and Wright and would move around to different motels.
"They are still looking into this," said Adkison. "They're asking people that if there are more victims, if there are more children involved. So the case is far from being completely closed."
An adult woman who is said to also be a victim confirmed what the teens told police.
