Low pressure pushing through the Mississippi Valley towards the Tennessee Valley should bring rain showers in for the rush hour commute this Tuesday evening, and keep it pretty wet through midday on Wednesday.
Temperatures will remain above freezing overnight tonight and on Wednesday.
As the low passes just to our southeast, we could see the rain mix with or change to snow on Wednesday morning in some of our northern counties bordering Kentucky and in east Middle Tennessee. It will be a quick mover, with the precipitation moving out during the midday time period.
With temperatures above freezing, this should create no problem as far as ice or snow on the roadways is concerned.
This Friday, some arctic air should begin to spill in for the weekend. This could squeeze out some snow showers Friday night through parts of Saturday with temperatures falling below freezing. We'll keep you posted.
