Traffic stop leads to burglary investigation, suspect flees

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for a man after he fled during a traffic stop early Monday morning.

A driver was pulled over at the intersection of Harding Place and Linbar Drive around 1:30 a.m. for driving without his lights on.

When the car stopped, one of the four people inside the vehicle bailed out and fled on foot.

That prompted an officer to draw his gun at the remaining people in the vehicle so they wouldn't run.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered stolen goods from a van parked at a nearby apartment complex.

The three remaining in the vehicle were all arrested and charged with burglary.

One of the suspects had five active warrants and another has a prior history of burglary, police said.

Their identities were not immediately released.

Police are still searching for the suspect who fled.

He is described as a Hispanic male who is five feet, three inches tall.  He was wearing jeans and a black shirt at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
