Man critically injured in east Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was shot Sunday morning inside a home located at 2513 Bethwood Drive in east Nashville.

It happened at approximately 9:45 a.m.

The victim, a black male in his 20s, was shot once inside the residence and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.

The suspect is described only as a black male in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing a black shirt and black pants and fled the scene on foot.

The investigation is ongoing.
