The Listening Room Cafe owner Chris Blair
After four years in Cummins Station the stage of the The Listening Room Cafe has found a new home in the Sobro area on 2nd Avenue.
"Our big thing is when you come in you are going to have a great show or a great dinner or a great lunch and hear original music," owner Chris Blair told Nashville's News 2.
As a songwriter and performer himself, Blair had a dream years ago to create a prime sounding spot in Music City.
"It's a lot bigger than what we had before so it opens it up to do a lot of full band shows and showcases," said Blair.
Adding that hey are also carrying on the tradition of serving up top-notch food, under the watch of his new Executive Chef, Joshua Champion.
"We wanted to take good southern food and give it a twist and send it out in a way that people hadn't seen before," explained Champion.
He says their famous sweet and spicy pickles are a menu highlight and assures diners can feast on natural ingredients, many from local farmers.
The Listening Room Cafe will host a special grand re-opening celebration Saturday with live music entertainment from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
They are also hosting a special valentines celebration, kicking off the 14th and running for three days.
