NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A pedestrian was struck by two cars and killed Saturday morning on Interstate 24 East at Bell Road.

Metro police said the pedestrian, Edwin Josue Reyes Hernandez, 28, of LaVergne, was crossing from the south side of the interstate to the north and struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Kathleen Tozer, 23, of Ashland City.

Hernandez was then hit by a silver car, believed, from parts left in the roadway, to be a 2003 to 2007 model Infiniti G35.

Tozer stopped at the scene. The driver of the silver car did not and is being sought for questioning.

There was no indication of alcohol involvement at the scene and police said no charges are anticipated against Tozer.

Anyone with information about the silver vehicle is urged to contact Metro police at 615-862-8600.
