Woman, 82, dies from injuries sustained in Clarksville crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

An 82-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a Clarksville crash earlier this week.

The accident involving Charlotte Binkley occurred at the intersection of Crossland Avenue and Cumberland Drive on Tuesday around 12:40 p.m.

According to police, Binkley was traveling straight on Cumberland Drive when she ran through a red and crashed into a GMC Sonoma driven by a 45-year-old woman.

Both crash victims were transported to an area hospital. Brinkley was later transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition.

She died on Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m.
