CULLEOKA, Tenn. -
An investigation is underway in Maury County after a man's body was found.
The discovery was made Wednesday morning between the Stanfill Hardwood Lumber yard and Culleoka Highway in Culleoka.
The victim is believed to be Gerry Ervin, a 54-year-old Culleoka man who went missing Tuesday.
According to the Columbia Daily Herald, Ervin was last seen before 10 a.m. Tuesday leaving a farm on Culleoka Highway north of the post office.
His disappearance sparked an extensive search.
Police are investigating the man's death as a crime.
