LEWISBURG, Tenn. -
A 16-year-old was killed and an 11-year-old injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning in Marshall County.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on State Route 64 near Hunter Road, northeast of Lewisburg.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the 16-year-old male driver, identified as Jackie White III, was traveling east on State Route 64 in a Mazda pick up truck when, for reasons unknown, he crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle.
Jackie died at the scene.
His 11-year old passenger, Liam White, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The driver in the other vehicle, 44-year-old Steven Snyder was not injured.
