TULLAHOMA, Tenn. -

Six members of the Motlow State Community College men's and women's basketball teams were charged Sunday night with marijuana possession following a traffic stop.

Kerrell Davis, 20, Jalen Blackwell, 19, Charles Waters, 20, Jerron Washington, 19, Kinashia Russell, 19, and Lekera Deshay Taylor, 20, were arrested on Elm Street near a convenience store where police noticed suspicious activity moments earlier.

Davis was also charged with reckless driving and Blackwell with underage drinking.

According to police, no one claimed ownership of the marijuana so all six were charged.

Russell and Taylor play for the Lady Bucks.

Motlow State Community College is located just outside Tullahoma, about 70 miles south of Nashville.
