A homeless woman was charged with public intoxication and assault Saturday after she claimed to be the president of the United States and threatened a Clarksville police officer.
Natasha Taylor, 26, was arrested after she refused to leave the Riverview Inn on Main Street.
According to a police report, Taylor was unsteady on her feet and confrontational with responding officers.
Her words were slurred and she was saying illogical and irrational things including that she was the president, the report stated.
Additionally, when asked for ID, Taylor made a threatening gesture and told the officer that she would "end him."
After she was arrested, Taylor's assaults continued.
According to the report, she attempted to trip the arresting officer, kicked him and grabbed toward his gun belt.
Taylor was booked into the Montgomery County jail on two counts of simple assault and public intoxication.
