Fire damages Hermitage apartment building

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An apartment building went up in flames early Sunday morning on Andrew Jackson Way in Hermitage.

When first responders arrived, they found the fire was contained to one unit.

Firefighters managed to put out the flames by 8:30 a.m.

One person was transported for injuries. The victim's condition was not immediately known.

According to their Twitter, page the Red Cross is offering assistance to the affected family.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
