House damaged by fire near TSU

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Crews are battling a house fire Thursday morning near Tennessee State University in Nashville.

The blaze broke out before 7:45 a.m. at the home located at 3523 Geneva Circle off 35th Avenue North.

The address is located just south of the TSU campus.

Fire officials said no one was home at the time. The house appears to be a total loss as part of the roof collapsed.

The fire marshal is on the scene, trying to determine the cause.
