Amber Alert canceled for Memphis infant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

Officials have canceled a statewide Amber Alert issued early Thursday for a Memphis infant.

Two-month-old Adrian Delk Jr. was taken by his father, 24-year-old Adrian Delk Sr., just before 1 a.m., according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Officials say Delk Sr. stabbed the child's mother multiple times. He reportedly took the mother to a Memphis hospital before he fled with the baby.

According to a news release, the infant was safely recovered by the Memphis Police Department.

Delk Sr. is in police custody.
