Truck fire closes I-40 in Hickman County

CENTERVILLE, Tenn. -

A lane of Interstate 40 in Hickman County is blocked off Thursday morning due to a truck fire.

The fire started around 3 a.m. on I-40 East at mile marker 148 near the Duck River Road exit.

According to officials, a truck hauling pallets of produce caught fire.

The sheriff's department told Nashville's News 2 one lane of traffic is closed. Traffic is being diverted around the incident.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said I-40 is expected to reopen by 11:30 a.m.
