COLUMBIA, Tenn. -
A Maury County woman has been charged with TennCare fraud after it was discovered she was selling prescription drugs that were paid for with TennCare benefits.
Authorities said Stephanie Cates used the state's healthcare benefits to pay for a prescription for Morphine, a strong painkiller, while intending to sell a portion of the medication.
If convicted, Cates could face a two year jail sentence.
