Former Metro principal convicted of sexual battery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Davidson County jury Tuesday afternoon convicted a former Metro middle school principal of sexual battery by an authority figure.

Ronald Anderson, the former principal at John F. Kennedy Middle in Antioch, was on trial this week for the sexual contact he had with a teenage boy he mentored at the Royal Life International Church he attended.

The victim, who is now an adult, was not one of his students at the school. He was assaulted when he was 16 and 17 years old.

Anderson was found guilty of four counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

He will be sentenced April 10.
