Daily News Journal: MPD: Man charged in 2-year-old Lakeshore Drive homicide

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Murfreesboro police have charged a 22-year-old man in a murder case that occurred in 2011.

According to a report in the Daily News Journal, Brandon Buchanan is charged with shooting and killing Bruce Thomas outside of a Lakeshore Drive home on December 16, 2011.

The 32-year-old gun shot victim was transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Police said the shooting stemmed from a dispute over a woman.

Buchanan remains jailed in Rutherford County.
