Driver critically injured in Franklin crash

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

One person was critically injured in a two car collision in Franklin late Monday morning.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lewisburg Pike at Goose Creek Bypass.

According to police, a silver Toyota Avalon was traveling east on Goose Creek. The vehicle entered the intersection at the same time as a Tennessee State Park Ranger's vehicle that was traveling north on Lewisburg Pike.

Authorities reported the driver of the Toyota, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The Park Ranger was also treated and released for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
