We are expecting quite a variety of weather this week!
The warming trend starts today with a few showers and highs in the low 50s, but you really won't feel it until tomorrow and Tuesday when temperatures soar into the 60s. You can see the warm air looming to our south in the first graphic of US temperatures.
Tuesday's high may approach 70°.
However, this will yield a line of thunderstorms Tuesday night through early Wednesday morning. Some of those storms may be strong or severe. As you can see in the 2nd picture, the bigger threat is to our west, but a few of our storms could reach severe limits, as well.
Then the cold air returns on Wednesday. The storms may taper off as a few flurries Wednesday afternoon in east Middle TN.
But I'm really watching a "clipper" system that could bring us some snow showers overnight Thursday night.
It's early, but both the GFS and ECMWF models are indicating that occurring. The GFS is shown in the last picture.
