1 shot during attempted robbery in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for a man who shot a person during a robbery attempt early Friday night.

The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. at 917 14th Avenue North.

Police told Nashville's News 2 the armed suspect approached the victim and demanded money.

Shots were fired when the victim refused the request.

The gunshot victim sustained a leg wound.

The suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
