NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police are working to identify the gunman who robbed a bank early Friday evening.
The robbery was reported at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 618 Thompson Lane around 5:20 p.m.
Police said the man, who was armed with a pistol, approached a teller and demanded money.
The suspect is described as a black man who is around five feet, 10 inches tall.
At the time of the crime he wore dark coloring clothing, a puffy jacket and a Titans cap.
The gunman fled the scene on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police believe he may have left the area in a blue sedan.
