A dog for adoption at Mt. Juliet Animal Control
Mt. Juliet Animal Control is celebrating their 4th birthday
MT. JULIET, Tenn. -
In honor of their fourth birthday this weekend, the Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter is hosting a four hour open house where attendees can adopt any animal for just $4.
The event will be held from Noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday at the animal shelter located at 115 Industrial Drive.
Since opening in 2009, the shelter has helped placed thousands of animals.
"We started out as [an] open house with no dogs and no volunteers," Volunteer Coordinator Jon Gray recalled. "Four years later, over 2,000 have come over that threshold out of those animals we are very proud that we have a 91% placement rate, which is unheard of."
