MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -
Authorities called an early morning motel fire in Murfreesboro Wednesday morning suspicious.
The fire was reported just after 1 a.m. at the Regal Inn located at 2025 South Church Street.
Responding crews said they discovered heavy smoke coming from a motel room upon their arrival.
The fire was quickly extinguished.
During the investigation, investigators discovered a message, which read, ‘What comes around goes around. I have always been faithful unlike you,' on a mirror inside the room
Investigators are working to determine the identity of the person who last stayed in the room.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
