A yard full of snow has been turning a lot of heads on Long Boulevard in west Nashville.
"Almost every car that drives by, you instantly see the brakes come on," said homeowner Clay Rochelle.
Folks have been stopping to get a look and take pictures of the snow that is accumulating in Rochelle's yard.
The snow, which is artificial, was made by Rochelle.
He told Nashville's News 2 he came up with the idea to build a homemade snow blower using a pressure washer, an air compressor and spray nozzles by doing research online.
"Overnight, in about seven hours time, I made around nine to 10 inches of snow," Rochelle said, adding, "I think the last time I saw this much snow in Tennessee was 2003 and we've already got two more inches in my front yard then we got in 2003."
Rochelle said he is planning to team up with an event or party planner next winter and start a snow making business.
"It is just a lot of fun to be able to make snow on demand. Anytime it is cold enough, I can pump out a foot of snow," he said.
But in the meantime, Rochelle said he is just planning to have some good ole fashion fun playing in the artificial snow.
"I can't wait until it builds up a little more," he said. "Tonight we will probably do some sledding out here, maybe build a couple of forts and have a snowball fight."
He added that he plans to continue making snow in the upcoming days and estimates his yard will be snow covered for about a week.
