A grow operation was busted on Friday at a home in La Vergne.
LA VERGNE, Tenn. -
Police arrested a man after a marijuana grow operation was discovered at his La Vergne home Friday.
Martin Ward was taken into custody at his home located in the 300 block of Sama Drive.
Authorities said they seized seven pounds of marijuana and 15 harvested plants.
Police also seized one vehicle, a Ford Fusion, 400 pieces of sports memorabilia and $1,800 in cash.
La Vergne Police Department Chief Mike Walker said "We have served seven search warrants in the last few months and have made arrests in every one of them. We want to be very clear that if you are involved in illegal drug sales in La Vergne, we will find you and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Ward has multiple charges pending against him including felony maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of distributing narcotics and felony possession of marijuana, among others.
He is also expected to be charged with possession of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
Police will consult with the district attorney about all charges pending against Ward.
