Metro Nashville makes Web site more user, mobile friendly

Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County launched a new and improved, user-friendly Web site to help residents report crimes, check road conditions and search Metro neighborhoods.

The Web site will make it easier to report a pot hole, search for parks around your home, and track crime.

The re-furbished site was also designed to be more user-friendly with mobile devices.

While many of the features have been in use for years, many features have been upgraded.

The Crime Mapping feature is now easier to find on Metro's Web site.

Crime Mapping allows users to type in an address and it will display crimes in that area over the last month, or whatever time-period the user selects.

The Metro Parks and Recreation feature has new interactive maps to find community attractions, parks and green ways.

Each Metro department is organized on one page with links to the department's social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter.

Also, in the next few months the city plans to add more maps that will be able to determine the user's current location and preferences.

Check out the new, improved site at Nashville.gov.
