Suspect in Clarksville shooting surrenders

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man wanted in connection to a shooting during an alleged drug deal Tuesday night in now behind bars.

Mark Ellis, 19, turned himself in at police headquarters around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Tuesday night, police found a 33-year-old man inside of a truck parked on Lincoln Drive with a gunshot wound to his foot.

It was determined the man was shot and robbed during a would-be drug buy.

Ellis was identified as one of the robbers.

He was charged Saturday with aggravated robbery, aggravated domestic assault and criminal trespassing, among others, and booked into the Montgomery County jail.

Clarksville police also linked Ellis to a robbery during a drug buy in December of 2011.
