Enjoy the sunshine and highs in the 50s today (Saturday) because the bottom falls out hard this week.
We cool down just a little on Sunday behind a first cold front with highs in the upper 40s.
The arctic front blasts through by Monday, keeping highs only in the mid 30s then, and not even above freezing on Tuesday (near 30°).
Tuesday morning, we should see lows in the mid teens here in the city, with low teens north and east of town.
In the third graphic you can look at the "source air mass" in Canada. There is more of that coming in from Alaska.
Last but not least, another arctic front is being predicted by the long range models by NEXT weekend. The 4th graphic is the ECMWF model's temperature forecast for noon on Saturday, January 26th.
