Metro officer receives minor injuries in crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Metro police officer received minor injuries after being involved in a vehicle crash Friday night.

The accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. at Lindbar Drive and Harding Pike.

Officials told Nashville's News 2 the officer, whose identity was not immediately released, was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was not injured.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
