Clarksville teacher's aide says she accidentally brought gun to school

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville teacher's aide was placed on leave on Friday after she reported to the school's principal she accidentally brought a gun to school.

According to Montgomery County school spokesperson Elise Shelton, the incident occurred at Montgomery Central Middle School.

The school employee reported she did not realize the gun was in her purse.

A mass email was sent out to parents notifying them of the incident.
