Tennessee Lottery sets new records
Tennessee Education Lottery officials say the Tennessee lottery has set two new records.
More than $83 million dollars was raised for state education programs in the second quarter of 2012, which is a six percent increase from the same time in 2011. Officials said both figures set lottery records.
Net proceeds from sales of lottery tickets, currently average over $5.3 million per week, fund specific education programs which include college scholarships and after-school programs.
