$24K worth of marijuana found in grandfather's vehicle

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. -

Authorities in Rutherford County confiscated thousands of dollars of marijuana from a Georgia grandfather's vehicle on Interstate 24 Saturday.

Authorities said eight pounds of high quality marijuana estimated to be valued at $24,000 was discovered in a spare tire of Dyne Stinson's vehicle.

Stinson's wife and three-year-old grandchild were also traveling with the 52-year-old man.

Stinson was charged with felony possession of marijuana and was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

He has since been released on a $4,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
