NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of southern and eastern Middle Tennessee although most of the wintry precipitation has moved out of the region.

Areas to the south of Nashville such as Lawrenceburg saw snow around midday Thursday.  The snow created a picturesque sight but caused several accidents.

No serious injuries were reported.

Slick roads could again cause problems after sunset when the temperature drops below freezing.

In Nashville and surrounding communities, the skies have cleared and the sun is out.

Temperatures overnight Thursday will drop into the mid-20s for lows.
